Conscious AI

Back again to blog world. This time, I intend to write down anything that comes in mind.

Like conscious AI, so long ago proposed, not yet fully understood, and still far away from accomplishment.

The reason? Maybe this guy is right: http://web.media.mit.edu/~push/why-ai-failed.html

Then, as I start to read and learn more about AI and consciousness, I'll write it down here, or maybe categorize a bit, for tidiness sake..

So long, what I've done is:
1- Continued study on neural networks, especially SOM, ART, SVM and correlated (see Wikipedia)
2- Reading Minsky's books and toughts (great stuff so far!)
3- Trading bits of good talk with friends about DSOA, massive parallelism, ubiquity and other useful stuff.
4- Always important: reading what's already going on: http://www.chatbots.org/ai_zone/viewthread/406/

As the say goes, "today's future lies on lots of stuff put together", so is the aim of this blog, and this study, to put together all these bits of knowledge I gather around.

Cheers from Brazil!
